What Are Wiggle Worm Bottoms?
Wiggle Worm Bottoms are a hidden PUL cloth diaper cover to be used with your favorite fitted, semi-fitted, flat or prefold diaper.
Why Hidden PUL?
Some cover and diaper manufacturers choose to use laminated fabrics for their diapers to provide a waterproof product. While these are great in form and function, we prefer to use a hidden layer for many reasons. First and foremost, the process of getting fabric laminated takes quite a while from start to finish. This minimizes how many fabrics we can keep in stock and also keeps us from offering the latest fabrics as they come out. Secondly, woven fabrics do not do as well with lamination applied as the solid PUL fabrics the laminate companies manufactures. They tend to wear a lot faster and they can become thread bare after a few months of use. With a hidden PUL layer, you get the best of both worlds: A cute print to “show off” on the outside and a solid layer of PUL on the inside doing it’s job! Last but certainly not least, the cost in having fabric sent for lamination keeps prices a lot higher than we want them to be. We prefer to keep our prices where everyone can afford a cute cloth diaper stash!
With all that being said, for those who prefer a PUL outer cover, we do offer a variety of solid colored PUL as outer fabric options under the "solid PUL outer covers" catagory.
What diapers work with these covers?
Our covers were designed around the use of trifolded prefolds. We have had success with many brands of fitted diapers under our covers, generally, the trimmer fitteds will fit best. The most economical option is using a prefold or tri-fold soaker pad inside the covers.
What size does my baby need?
Our size chart gives approximate measurements to correspond with our sizing. It’s best to measure your baby before ordering, as all babies are different in size requirements. You can’t always tell by weight, but waist and rise measurements are a very good way to tell what size you need.

How much do your covers cost?
Our covers start at:
preemie or newborn - $8.75
small - $9.75
medium - $10.75
medium LONG - $11.50
large - $11.50
x-large - $12.00
2 x-large -$12.75
For covers w/ snap in sleeves, add $3 to the appropriate size.
Shipping and handling charges for United States shipping: $3.00 for the first item, $4.00 for 2 items, $5.25 for 3-5 items, $6.25 for 6-8 items, and $9 for 9 or more items.
International shipping available at an additional charge. Please contact us for more information. Any additional custom fees or taxes are the buyers responsibility.
I have a favorite fabric. Can I use it for a cover?
You sure can. We have the option of sending your fabrics in to be made into a cover just for you. Select this option and when you receive your invoice, my home address for shipping your fabric will be provided. We do ask that you ship your fabric in a timely manner and always recommend delivery confirmation on fabric shipments.
How much fabric do I need to send to have a cover made?
If you are going out to buy the fabric, a 1/2 yd full width of material will work for any sized cover.
If you already have the fabric:
newborn - 17 in square
small - 19 inch square
medium - 21 inch square
med long - 22 inch square
large - 22 inch square
x-large - 23 inch square
2 xl - 25 inch square
Please be sure to wash the fabric PRIOR to cutting it!
Do I have to wash my cover after each use? Isn’t that a lot of covers?
Covers and prefolds are great for this reason! You don’t have to change out covers if the cover has stayed dry and is not soiled, you simply replace the prefold or fitted and use again! We have a “care instructions” link on the homepage to help you with your diaper laundry routine!
How many covers should I order?
This depends on personal preference, but as a Mom of twins, I can say it’s better to have too many than too few. Most Moms have a minimum of 6-8 covers for one baby, but many customers prefer to have a dozen on hand.

What is the difference between aplix and touch tape?
Aplix and touch tape are both types of hook and loop, similar to velcro.
Aplix is softer and only available (at WWB) in white.
Touch tape has a stronger hold and available in a variety of colors. (We will coordinate color to the fabric when possible and use white if there are no color matches).
What is a cross over tab?
A cross over tab is a small piece of loop closure (or a snap w/ front snap closure), that goes on top of one tab so the other tab can be crossed over and attached on top, allowing for a tighter fit in the waist. This option is recommended when first moving into a new size or for babies with skinny waists. We can do cross over tab w/ all closure types offered.
Which inner fabric is best?
The inner fabric is really a personal choice. All of the fabrics are 100% polyester so they perform in the same way. Out of the available option, anti-pill and velour fleece will add the most bulk, while suedecloth and crushed panne are very trim. In addition, suedecloth generally looks "brand new" the longest. Micro fleece is a trim fleece option. No inner material (white PUL) would be the trimmest option, since there are only 2 layers of fabric.
What is a cover w/ snap in sleeve?
The purpose of this item is to combine the versatility of a cover with the convenience of a pocket. You can have it pre-stuffed for quick changes, yet reuse it if the shell does not get wet/soiled. Ultimately, they can be more cost effective than either because you’ll be able to purchase additional pouches to snap into one shell. The shell can also be used as a fully functional cover without the sleeve.
